My wife, Michelle and I are rejoicing in the Lord to see this wonderful new sun shinny day.  Last evening we encountered a near fatal accident.  As we were driving home from a meeting, my wife was talking with her sister on her cell phone and I was driving along the road when suddenly, I noticed a car fastly approaching from my right.  I looked at the light. It was green.  I had the right of way but this guy was not going to stop.  There was a car immediately behind me, so I decided not to slam on my brakes but instead, hit the gas and swerve out of the way of this on coming car which was about to run the light and broadside us.  Nearly missing a light post and screeching our tires the maneuvar was succesful and the car speed on, never even slowing down!  Our hearts were racing!  We were in shock at the near miss which would certainly have caused serious injury or death.  The gentleman in the car behind us saw the whole thing and pulled along side giving us a thumbs up at escaping the near tragic incident.  We waved to him to let him know we were alright and continued on to our destination.  Later on we stopped and held eachother and prayed, Thanking God for keeping us from what could have been a very hurtful night.  I awakened this morning thinking about these verses.  Psalm 118:24, “This is the day that they Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it,” and Psalm 91:1, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”  Yes, today is a great day to rejoice in the protective goodness of the Lord!  He certainly kept us safe last night and blessed us to see another wonderful sun shinny day together.  Praise be to God!
